Phone-A-Missions

Can you hear me now?

As members of the American Baptist family, we have a variety of means to spark interest in mission in the hearts of our congregations.

Making a Phone-a-Mission call is a great way to keep in touch.  It's the next best thing to being there!  Each of our churches is encouraged to make a connection with what's happening in mission fields around the world.

American Baptist mission is about people.  People sharing the good news about Christ.  Both National and International missionaries are available to visit our churches to share their exciting ministries. Misson trip participants are also available to speak about their experiences and how those experiences have made a difference in their lives. Making a request for a speaker is easy to do.

If you are interested in having a Phone-A-Mission in your church, you will need to make your request at least two to three months in advance of the date chosen for the call.

Please have the following information ready to make your request:

  • Name of missionary or field, and an alternate missionary or field.
  • Date you would like the call to take place, and an alternate date.
  • Time of the call:
  • Name of the Church:
  • Name of person placing the call:
  • If profiles are requested, how many you will need.

Please note whether or not you will need to borrow the Phone-a-Mission equipment, or if your church is already equipped.
Please make your request as far in advance as possible.

After confirmation has been received, contact the missionary before the call outlining your expectations, and send a letter of thanks following the call.

ABC-USA will pay for your calls to National or International Missionaries (15-20 minutes per call,).

Profiles of American Baptist Missionaries are available online at the International Ministries website.
