The Art Of Marriage

LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH OF BLANCHARD
TO CONDUCT
“THE ART OF MARRIAGE”
AT KRISLUND RETREAT CENTER
SEPTEMBER 22-24, 2017

Pastor  Chris and Greta Davis of Liberty Baptist Church in Blanchard, PA will conduct a Familylife “The Art of Marriage” video event Friday evening, September 22, 2017 through Sunday morning, September 24, 2017 at the Krislund Retreat Center in Madisonburg, Pennsylvania. The weekend get-away will allow couples a chance to connect and renew their marriages.

“When you were standing at the altar reciting your marriage vows, did you have any idea that marriage would be so complex? It probably didn’t take you long to understand that your spouse is not as much like you as you thought. But figuring them out is more than just an equation. Marriage is more than a science; it’s an art. And like any art form, requires an investment of time, focused study and the right tools. If you need to soften some of the edges in your relationship, or want to brighten the landscape of your marriage, The Art of Marriage is for you. This 6-session marriage event allows you to experience God’s design for marriage from expert teachers and humorous vignettes. You’ll graduate in a few hours better educated about your marriage, your spouse and yourself. Block out time to attend The Art of Marriage.” stated Pastor Chris Davis.

Come and join Pastor Chris and Greta for a weekend of connection and renewal. The retreat includes:

  • 2 nights private cabin lodging at Krislund Retreat Center in Madisonburg, PA,
  • all meals,
  • fall foliage wagon ride,
  • campfires w/ s’mores,
  • date night dinner with entertainment on Saturday evening,
  • and much more.

A discounted registration is available for those that live locally and do not desire lodging. For more information contact Pastor Chris at (570) 962-2214 or visit the church website at www.lbcblanchard.com.

This is an away weekend for Penn State football as they visit Iowa. “Football and marriage are a lot alike. Both rely on communication, chemistry, team work and a little finesse. When all goes well, it’s art! But when it breaks down, it’s not so pretty. You probably know the basics of football; do you know the basics of marriage? Trade a day of watching the game for a day of working on your marriage and you’ll being enjoying both a lot more.” said Davis.

LBC graciously acknowledges the financial support for this event from the American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware.
